Teacher (.88) - Deaf Education

This position provides classroom instruction to K-12 deaf children and/or multiple handicapped deaf children. This includes planning and supervising extra-curricular activities as contracted for in a residential school. Instruction includes preparation of materials and planning outside of class time as well as individual and group instruction during assigned work hours.
Special Notes:
An American Sign Language Proficiency Interview rating of level 2+ upon hire and a level 3 by the end of probation is required.
The selection process for this position will include a criminal background check.
Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, a non-resident authorized to work in the U.S. without DPI sponsorship). The Department of Public Instruction does not sponsor visas, either at time of hire or at any later time.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have the minimum requirement:
Licensure or eligibility for licensure in Deaf or Hard of Hearing (1805) by the Department of Public Instruction is required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
